For Double Warrior, Grad Fellowship Offers Hand-on Experience and Unmatched Affordability

Sophia Eisenhaure is a proud Double Warrior who earned her bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from 探花社区 before choosing to continue at Merrimack to pursue her M.S. in Community Health Education.

Sophia’s interest in a career in health education goes back to her undergraduate days when she worked as a teaching assistant at Merrimack’s School of Health Sciences. Her involvement as a teaching assistant continued during the master’s program when she served as a T.A. for both Exercise Testing Technologies and Exercise Physiology.

During her time in the M.S. in Community Health Education, she served as a graduate fellow in Merrimack’s Office of Wellness Education, working collaboratively with student affairs and various offices on campus to improve and maintain the overall health and well-being of a diverse college student population.

鈥淢errimack offers a fellowship opportunity that allows us to gain real-world experience in a field that we are interested in, and we are able to use it in our career search post-graduation.鈥 Fellowships also allow students to save significantly on the cost of a graduate degree. Sophia remarks, 鈥淚 couldn鈥檛 believe how affordable the program is. As a fellow, I was offered 50% off my tuition and that really was the ultimate factor in my decision-making process. Even without a fellowship, I would have been offered the Double Warrior scholarship [for alumni]. However, even without either scholarship, the program itself is greatly more affordable than any other local programs I was accepted into.鈥

鈥淢errimack is a credible institution with very strong and knowledgeable professors and I was thrilled to come back for my graduate studies.”
